Its alright. The main gimmick is cool, but I feel like it would work better if you had to juggle multiple turrets. The way the power up gems just appear with no effect looked weird and I kept bumping into the corners around the bridges, especially during the boss. Speaking of which, the boss was super lame. You can literally just set the turret at the top choke point and focus on collecting gems until you can melt the boss in 2 seconds. Maybe let it shoot fireballs that knock the turret out of position? Overall an enjoyable experience, but could do with a lot of work. Good luck if you plan on continuing this project, and in general!
Hey Anna! Thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
Towerbag was made in just 48 hours for a game jam, so it's definitely rough around the edges. The reason for having only one turret was actually tied to the jam’s theme, which was literally "only one," so we ran with the idea of a Tower Defense with a single tower.
We’d love to revisit and improve it at some point, but right now, we’re focused on other projects. If you’re interested in something more polished, check out our latest game, Islets Defense! There’s a demo available on both Itch and Steam, and you can find the link on this same page.
Thanks again for taking the time to share your thoughts!
Hey Floof Audio! Glad that you enjoyed it! Means the world to us!
And yes, I wish to eventually make a longer version of Towerbag! You can follow me on social media to get any news about this! Also, we are crafting a new Tower Defense game, completely different than TowerBag, but might catch your attention! It's called Islets Defense, and it's Demo is available both here on Itch and Steam!
Didn't like it. The gems count by 5 for no reason. The art style makes it difficult to understand the layout of the map.
Losing all my upgrades on level 2 was annoying.
When I tried to do another upgrade on level 2 by placing the turret down, it didn't trigger the upgrade popup. So I started moving it down and spamming the spacebar so when it finally did open the menu. It did an upgrade on the first selection by default since its a very poorly thought out design.
I’m sorry the game didn’t resonate with you. It was made in just 48 hours during a game jam, so it does lack polish. Thanks for your comment, and I hope you enjoy some of my other games!
The mechanic of picking up and placing down the tower is really interesting! It was hard to balance moving the tower to appropriate places and collecting gems at first, but eventually got used to it. Also appreciate the opportunity to try out the OP tower at the end ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧
Thank you so much for the kind comment, and we are super glad that you enjoyed it! Especially our little extra bonus at the end hehe. Sorry for the late reply!
Thank you so much Nathan! We also want to make a full fleshed version eventually! We started shifting to a more indie career this year, and we just announced our new game, which is also a tower defense (completely different than TowerBag, but very unique as well). If this catches your attention, we would really appreciate a wishlist on our page! Also, sorry for the late reply!
Thanks a lot Wellshu! We too like this dynamic with the tower! We hope that in the next few years we can come up with a more complete version of this game! Sorry for the late reply!

Fun concept. Was wondering if there is some interaction with the chick or if it is just a bystander.

This is a really fun concept for a tower defense game and a cute art style!

NGL this is one of the best tower defence games i've ever played, i'd love a full game like this!!
